Somewhere else…

Describe the Bug

Cursor Auto: fills up to ~100%, starts spinning, never stops. This doesn’t happen with non-Auto options.

Steps to Reproduce

Run Cursor in Auto for a while. Fills up quickly. Then it just hangs. Have to start a new session and re: prompt from scratch each time.

Expected Behavior

Two options (1) Create a larger context window for Auto (2) Start over from 0% like ChatGPT version of Cursor does and keep going.

Hey, thanks for the report. Unfortunately, I couldn’t reproduce it. However, I noticed that you’re using an old version of Cursor. Try updating to version 1.6.42. we’ve made many improvements in this update.

Hi @deanrie ,

Thanks for your message. Updated Cursor.

Issue remains, unfortunately. In situations like this, I stop the command, put it in GPT5 mode, and pay for it. Any idea what might be the issue?

Best,
Erik

Try creating a new chat and refer to your previous chat. It works somewhat like summarizing. Perhaps this chat has been around for a long time. I tried to reproduce it, but I couldn’t.
