I got “waiting for another agent to finish setup” when start a background agent task. And even I removed it from in progress list, next task still being blocked here for over 20 minutes or more.
Yes, lately I’ve noticed the tool’s performance has been quite poor, and it’s encountering multiple issues like the one mentioned here. Most of the time, it’■■■■■ or miss—you can’t tell which background process will work and which won’t. It also keeps you guessing whether it’s running automatically or waiting for you to ‘Accept’ something, as the steps for the same prompt vary from one step to the next.
@smrtinker Hi can it be you are taking about something else than Background Agent? There are no Accept dialogs in Background Agent. I suggest filing a separate detailed bug report so issues can be fixed.
