I’m trying to get Cursor to use the browser but it keeps saying,
I can’t control the browser yet. The MCP tool schemas for cursor-ide-browser aren’t present in /Users/goliathsales/.cursor/projects/Users-goliathsales-sourcing/mcps, and I’m required to read a tool’s schema before calling it.
Please enable the browser MCP tool descriptors (or share their location), and I’ll proceed with the workflow creation steps immediately.
Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known issue - there was a bug with browser automation in versions 2.3.18+, and the team already fixed it. But from your screenshot on 2.4.27, it looks like something’s still off.
Help us gather info for the team:
Request ID: In the chat where you tried using browser - context menu (three dots top right) > Copy Request ID
Developer Console: Help > Toggle Developer Tools > Console - share any errors when you try using browser
Browser Automation settings: Settings > Tools & MCP - what does it show for Browser Automation?
Probably annoying advice for the OP but I was having the same exact issue and realize cursor had been running for days. I restarted the app and it came back, however, FYSA, I was having the same exact issue.
