Cursor Changelog Page Bug

Describe the Bug

Bit of a weird report, but Cursor’s changelog page has a bug on loading the changelog page. It freezes and blacks out all my browsers for a few seconds until the page fully loads. I noticed that the changelog page immediately loads ALL the videos/media on the page which causes the lag I mentioned. Please fix.

Steps to Reproduce

Load Changelog · Cursor and look how long it takes to load.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Oof. Yeah, that’s a lot of data being transferred. I’ll flag this for the team. Thanks a lot for the report. :folded_hands:

Hi everyone,
I’m running into a serious issue with the Visual Editor blog page:

If I open this page and just leave the tab open (no interaction), after about 3–5 minutes my memory usage ramps up until it consumes all 16 GB of RAM , and my laptop eventually freezes/crashes.

This happens even when nothing else heavy is running. I’m not fully certain about the root cause yet, but the page contains a 4K video , and I suspect it might be continuously loading or buffering and leaking memory.

At one point I honestly started wondering if the tab was secretly mining Bitcoin on my laptop :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: - jokes aside, the behavior is very consistent and reproducible.

Just sharing this to raise awareness in case others hit the same issue and so the team can take a look at potential memory or video handling problems.

Has anyone else noticed something similar?
