Cursor CLI use MAX mode for the Claude Sonnet 4 model

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor CLI

Describe the Bug

When you select the the Claude Sonnet 4 in the CLI it uses Max model, which explodes the request usage.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Run CLI
  2. Select Sonnet-4 as the model
  3. MAX mode is enabled

Expected Behavior

Use regular model and it should be shown if MAX model is selected

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Yes, same issue here. we cant turn off max mode in cursor cli

Hey, at the moment the Claude Sonnet/Opus models in Cursor CLI only work in Max mode.
