Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

cursor just hangs when it is trying to automatically exec shell commands needed during development.

Steps to Reproduce

ask the agent to do something like “check in the file” - anything that causes an external command to be fired off. Yes, it is in the allow list. It just hangs. Started happening today.

Expected Behavior

Commands should be run, cursor should work.

If it helps I think I’m having the same issue where no run commands work at all and getting a “Error: no result from tool” on the “run_terminal_cmd” tool

I’ve been asking cursor to tell me what terminal commands to run and I’ll run them manually in terminal vs. having the agent execute them

more context. after I had to “stop” the command execution attempt and then “copy request id”.
