Cursor composer window top out of bounds, cannot resize

I am having an issue where somehow the size of the composer window is too ‘tall’ and is now out of bounds and I cannot bring it low enough to resize. Even if i get the chat cleared and it shrinks to input only once it starts outputting it resizes to the large tall size. Any suggestions? has made it unusable…

Had that happen once. Restart / refresh the window helped. Definitely a usability issue.

  1. Minimize the composer window into input box only by pressing CMD + M (on MacOS).
  2. Drag the top border of the input box. The message section will automatically appear–don’t release the left mouse button and keep dragging down to downsize the message section.

There is another shortcut which is CMD + Shift + DownArrowKey to “Reset Position”. But it only centers the composer not downsizing it.

And, yes, it’s terribly annoying and the cursor team should add a padding between the top border of cursor window and the top border of the composer message section and make sure the latter can never overflows.

this did it, thank you! (CMD + M then resize without release)

Same here, it is not working I can not resize it and restart/refresh doesnt work

I had the same issue, CMD+M helped.
@cursor team, please fix this though as not knowing the CMD+M trick makes composer unusable.

For reference, the Cursor devs are aware of the issue and mentioned it in this topic (where I also posted a screenshot of how you can click and drag the window down):
