Cursor Consumes 10%+ CPU usage when idling

I have opened my project and left Cursor idling in the background, closed the AI chat.

It keeps using 10%+ CPU usage in the background and consuming most of my RAM usage (2GB) also.

What is causing this and what is running in the background? I checked Cursor Process Explorer and it shows it’s the extension using, but it is neccessary for development and if I kill the process, it will just respawn.

I have even tried open a New Window with no projects whatsoever, it still uses around 8-9% of my CPU, RAM usage reduced to 600MB, what is it doing exactly?

Comparing to vscode, if I opened a project and leave it idle, it essentially just consumes 0% of the CPU.
