Your scenario seems similar to this user’s:
Can you try modifying your prompt slightly to say something like:
I am using Cursor (the fork of VS Code) to write this prompt and I am using the
@codebase
feature to pass you through my codebase as context - can you please tell me what files you can see in there?
Obviously you don’t want to write that every time, but it would be interesting to see if it just needs a nudge to remember who it is (as the prompt does eventually just go to an LLM which provides the response, and whatever ‘system messages’ Cursor has appended regarding the context of the Cursor application may have been overlooked etc).
Also, can you please specify which LLM you specified in the chat?
