We are a team interested in the Enterprise plan, but we noticed it seems unavailable for purchase in China.
Could anyone from the team clarify the reason for this restriction? Is it due to upstream model provider policies, regional compliance requirements, or other factors?
We would appreciate any official clarification. Thank you.
There are two separate factors that affect availability in mainland China.
First is model availability. Some AI providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google have location-based restrictions and don’t serve mainland China, so some models may not be available there. More details here: Regions and model availability | Cursor Docs
Second is purchasing Enterprise. Our Enterprise plans are sales-led and set up individually by our sales team, so it isn’t a self-serve purchase through the dashboard. The best path is to contact sales directly via Cursor · Contact our sales team and explain your situation. If you have a legal entity or payment entity outside mainland China, make sure to mention it so the team can review your case in more detail.
Thank you for your detailed explanation regarding the Enterprise plan availability. We really appreciate you taking the time to clarify this.
To give you some context — we are a software vendor based in China. Due to internal procurement processes here, most of our clients prefer to purchase through us as their supplier. Since the Enterprise plan is not available in mainland China, we have been helping our clients purchase Team subscriptions instead. To date, we have facilitated cumulative payments totaling several million USD for Cursor on behalf of our clients. We have always valued Cursor as a partner and have been actively promoting it to our clients.
However, we are currently facing a critical issue. Our ticket T-E304 has been open for over 2 weeks with no meaningful response, despite multiple follow-ups. This has affected our ability to continue serving our clients, and we are under significant pressure to resolve it.
Since you are able to see this post, would you kindly help internally flag ticket T-E304 and ask the billing/support team to prioritize a response? We would be truly grateful.
Thanks for the added context, Alan, and for the continued support.
For anything tied to your specific account, subscriptions, or an open support ticket, the right team is at [email protected]. They handle these case by case and can check the status of your ticket directly. Replying to your existing thread there and referencing T-E304 will keep everything in one place.
For Enterprise specifically, the best path is the sales team at Cursor · Contact our sales team, especially since you’re purchasing on behalf of clients. It’s worth mentioning any legal or payment entity outside mainland China so they can review options with you.
