I am loving Cursor, I am not a programmer by any means, but work in the games industry. Cursor has helped be build a prototype for my next business (A lot of trial and errors…2000+ prompts! 3 weeks and 9 restarts but I got there!! - This was even after I was quoted between £10k-£80k and 4 - 32 weeks build time by various developers to build the same thing - even when explained it will only be seen by a handful of investors)
I wanted to ask if there are any Cursor Freelancers out there? That may want to work on a project for a week or so. (Help me more tidy up my patch work!)
I think all devs are all using the same tools nowadays. It’s been two years since AI went mainstream.
It’s more about LLM optimisation rather than the cursor itself. Yes, it’s a great tool for prototyping ideas, but to build a product, a developer needs to understand the code. Otherwise, they create a lot of bugs and issues along the way, especially with the Cursor limitations, like shrinking the context window to 8k tokens without telling the developer about it.
I am! I’m using full Cursor as freelancer for programming, I’m currently working on my own website using Cursor and my own ideas and prompts, basically talking to it like a person but being detailed and using @web and @docs
Though I never got hired by anyone yet because I don’t know where to really go and should I mention that I use AI or not, thats the thing about my freelancing
