** Cursor Freezing & Restart Issues – Losing Credits & Sanity **

Hey everyone,

I’ve been having some serious issues with Cursor lately, and I wanted to check if anyone else is experiencing the same.

The Problems:

1️ Freezing Madness: The software keeps freezing randomly, causing me to lose over +30 credits on requests that never complete. If I try again, some even fail due to broken sequences.
2️ Surprise Crashes: Cursor randomly shuts down, forcing me to hit ReOpen.
3️ Update = Reboot Roulette: Every time I try Restart to update, instead of updating smoothly, the whole system just reboots.
4️ Mysterious Error Message: When it crashes, I sometimes get this error:
“The window terminated unexpectedly (reason: ‘oom’, code: ‘-536870904’).”
Not sure if this means Out of Memory or just “Out of My Patience” :laughing:, but my system has plenty of RAM available.

System Specs (So It’s Not My PC’s Fault! )

  • CPU: AMD 8th Gen
  • RAM: 32GB
  • GPU: RTX 4070
  • Storage: Plenty of free space
  • SO: Windows 11 lastest version

I reported a similar issue before but never got feedback, so I’d love to hear if:

  • Anyone else is experiencing these problems?
  • There’s a fix or workaround?
  • The team has this on their radar?
