Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Facing this issue after the update. And can’t use the plan mode. And the worst part they are counting it as success in usage. I was using Opus 4.5 for the plan.

Looks like cursor teams are vide coding cursor and they think their users are the testing platform “Testing in production”. How can a company break it basic feature in the product every time there is a new version.

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known issue in version 2.4.21. A few users are reporting similar plan mode symptoms.

To debug, I’ll need a bit more info:

  1. Request ID: open the chat context menu (top right corner in the chat) > Copy Request ID, then paste it here
  2. How much free disk space do you have? Low free space can cause crashes like this
  3. Please run Network Diagnostics: Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics. If anything fails, let me know

As a temporary workaround, try rolling back to the previous stable version (2.4.20 or 2.4.7) until we ship a fix.

One user in a similar thread Stuck in planning next move - #8 by Stephane_Baudet said upgrading to 2.4.21 actually unblocked the issue, so it might be intermittent or tied to a specific setup.

Let me know what you get from diagnostics, and please try the downgrade. Tell me if it helps.

  1. Request ID: ecb78666-68bc-4027-8fe6-c2a271f33c55
  2. Over 20 GB of free space
  3. No network issues
  1. Request ID: c677f704-886d-4a86-9132-89972bf1b8e0
  2. Over 80 GB
  3. I also didn’t saw any network issue

This is resolved in 2.4.22
