Cursor hangs while editing a file

Describe the Bug

Everytime I make changes to a file ( whether its a mark down file or a source file) i am getting The window is not responding error - with options to Re-open, Close or keep Waiting , if i click on Reopen it restarts cursor and goes back to the previous chat and the changes are not reflected - This issue is seen as recently as last 3-4 days

Steps to Reproduce

I just have to ask it to edit a specific file and it begins to do the editing and then i see this issue

Yes - Cursor is unusable

I think this might be a dup of Cursor freezes after AI-edit tool call — resolved by removing 'showTabs: single' . The fix there works for me also.

Thanks for helping out . Made changes to both User Settings & Workspace Settings: to “multiple” seems to have solved the problem
