Describe the Bug

My Cursor is basically unusable. It goes right back to edit mode after any prompt. Restarting the app/PC doesn’t fix it, and it’s happening with every single AI model. Anyone know what’s going on?

Steps to Reproduce

  1. I launch Cursor, my most beloved IDE in the entire world.

  2. I type in my pathetic little prompt.

  3. It teases me with the three loading dots for a split second, then immediately gives up and kicks me back into edit mode.

Hey, this might happen if you have a large file open in Cursor, even if it’s not in the context. Try closing it or switch to another one. If you have MCP servers enabled, try disabling some that aren’t needed right now. Also, open the DevTools panel to detect any errors.

I have the exact same problem today. This has never happened before.
