Cursor has become the worst since the update

Agreed. As soon as I upgraded it got significantly worse. Its nearly unusable for me at the moment. I’m using the appimage on linux for context. Is there any way to go back to the older version?

+1 Similar issues on both composer and cmd+l chat. 0.40.x update has cut down cursors utility. Had to downgrade to 0.39.6.

Another thing I noticed with python. Pylint recommendations are significantly slower (take time to load once I open the file) on the 0.40.x

Thanks for this. I’m going to see if I can find the older appimage.

downgrading fixed it?

Yes, the 0.39 used a different chat UX, which I feel is less buggy and better than the latest one in maintaining context.

With python, syntax highlighting became a lot slower too with the 0.40 update.

Downgrading fix these for me

I’m on a MAC

Thank you so much boss! I was going to wait for a fix update, but now I can work again  And instantly, the prompts what didn’t work with the new version, worked again with the .39 version.

I want to say sometime as a newer since v0.40.

I think whatever the UI is changed, plz make all side chatter, inliner chatter, composer UI and mechanism looks consistent as possible as it can. Currently, 1. for inliner chatter, I just found the @web can be added manually but no as auto as it is in side chat window, and I have no idea why inliner chatteer can’t add @codebase. 2, for composer and inliner chatter, I just can’t do ctrl+enter as that in side chatter window.

Anther things annoying is that in side chat window, it does smartly make the pasted code block into an UI with a new ref tag like lib.rs(1-3) Code, then how do I refer to it by @? Similar bad experience in inline chatter and composer(besides, only for composer, the code snippets just can’t be directly pasted to composer chat window, but can if the snippet is pasted in side chate window first.)

Yes, referring to the pasted snippet is currently a pain.
Using Ctrl-Shift-V to paste as text would be nice, or an option to quickly refer to the code in the chat without having to come up with a descriptive reference other than ‘this’, ‘:’ or ‘like this:’.
