Cursor has become unusable for medium/large projects

Hi everyone,

I want to share my frustration with the current state of Cursor after the recent updates. I’m working on a medium-to-large project, and honestly, the tool has become nearly unusable. Here are some of the main issues that make it incredibly hard to work with:

Key Problems:

Constant loss of context:

Cursor forgets the context of messages sent just a couple of interactions ago. This forces me to repeat myself constantly, slowing down the workflow significantly.

Incoherent responses and disconnections:

Sometimes the tool stops responding or suggests completely irrelevant things. This is not only frustrating but also undermines trust in its utility.

Poor performance with large projects:

When working on medium-to-large projects, Cursor struggles to maintain consistency with global changes. Additionally, every minor change requires re-explaining details it should already know.

Lack of stability:

Frequent disconnections waste time, and having to reconnect or repeat instructions makes it impossible to progress smoothly.

I’m developing a WordPress plugin with multiple modules and functionalities. Previously, Cursor was a helpful tool to automate tasks and maintain standards in my project. Now, I feel like it’s losing capacity every day and becoming less reliable.

Speaking frankly I don’t think the developers really give a fuck about what you think or what I think and I’ve canceled my subscription. In October it used to be awesome awesome, but now I can’t keep context at all and it’s blowing everything up. Thank God I’ve got bolt. I can hardly wait till I get all these sites done and I don’t have to play front end developer anymore, I hate this, especially when it was good and now it’s so so bad.
