Cursor has been so stupid lately

Cursor has lost so much of its ability that even in a simple PyQT5 project, it works horribly even when I use Sonnet 3.7.

Sonnet 3.7 is definitely not the same as when it first came out.

As for Gemini 2.5 pro, I can’t understand how you managed to ruin a good model. It was a great model but now it’s useless to me.

Yes, cursor? What do these mean?

Every model is good when it first comes out and then it can get terrible.

I hope everything will be fine soon, I love using Cursor and this makes me sad.

I am also experiencing the same issue. This causes me to waste my requests.

The past two weeks have been a nightmare! How could a company screw up a good product so quickly? It went from a 90% success rate, or even better, to practically zero. I built five full-stack apps with Cursor in the last few months, and now I can’t even finish one in the last two weeks. I’ve wasted tons of credits and time trying to fix Cursor’s mess. It’s so bad, I’ve started copying Cursor’s code into ChatGPT or Google AI Studio just to make it work.

Same story for me. Hate having to copy stuff to native apps all the time, as Cursor keeps being way too inconsistent.

It’s been so bad that I created a rule to prevent overreach and await confirmation before moving forward. It didn’t help; now it’s ignoring rules.

I never posted in the forum but my god, Cursor has really become such a frustrating IDE. Really considering switching to Windsurf because it is just not workable anymore.

I loved the product but since the last 2 days the models and performance just dropped insane amounts.
I am back to using 3.5 sonnet, somehow that still performs kinda oke

Agreed. First time posting - the experience is so bad. It just doesnt work. Instructions completely ignored. Cannot run tool calls like looking at files. Its reverting to making tmp folders trying to do all sorts of things rather than just read/update files.

Has been awesome until today.
