it’s too expensive. My previous Pro account exhausted its quota, and when I had no choice but to subscribe to a new Pro account, it told me it had expired after just over 500 events. In the past, even after fast requests were used up, slow requests were still available, but now even slow requests can’t be used. It’s time to look for alternatives.
Yes, once again another change in pricing policy in total disregard of customers.
Atleast for now, if you swap to old pricing you may find you have more requests, I did last month.
I clicked on switch models, I am using it and it is absurdly fast. I’m using Auto option for now.
One more observation. It is really very fast, but it makes many mistakes. The difference compared to Max mode is absurd.
“Old Pricing” do you mean old version of cursor please
Yes, it is indeed much faster, but obviously it is inferior to the Max model. So it is clear to me the company’s intention. It was to present the superior model for a while so we could… Enjoy it and, obviously, pay for it after the trial.
Personally, I have nothing against it, but I think this is not the transparent way to promote a better product. The right way is… Hey, everyone, you have 30 days of this one to try out.
Happy so far with the new plan, never ran into limits, Opus 4 and MAX available (just discovered those).
I tried to cancel my account and entered into numerous emails with their ‘support’ staff claiming they couldn’t find the subscription!!! More excuses, then they charged me again. I’d avoid this business at all costs
I started to use some other AI assistant that has recently been acquired by chatgpt. It is not better than Cursor but it is starting to feel like they are actually catching up. And also google cli has a real professional feel to it. So my guess is that if cursor keeps digging that path they’re gonna lose most of their customer base by 2026 Q1 because of their greed and losing their customer loyalty.
@pleiadess @jerryola1 By old pricing I mean going to Dashboard > Settings > Advanced and opting into old pricing.
Instead of using the new rate limits you get the 500 requests.
Although I’m uncertain if requests after that limits come in at the api price or old request based pricing. Noone will answer me
Thank you
Just use auto, it fixes all its mistakes.
