Cursor is able to write to files outside of project folder

I asked the bot to create a file in /doc folder, and it indeed did. To C:\doc

I don’t have enough words in my vocabulary to describe my surprise…

I have noticed as well, especially when using Composer often does not adhere to the folder structure and creates new folders outside of the project folder system. It will just ignore what i already have and processed to make all new code and folders and everything outside of the project folder.

I think this is very concerning.

Cursor team, can you explain why it’s happening and if you plan to fix it by a certain date please?

ursor often creates folders outside the project structure. Even when I specify that it should work only within a certain folder, it quickly forgets or completely ignores this instruction. I can’t finish projects because this keeps happening.
