… I am happy with this decision.
Cursor used to be great, but lately it’s been getting worse and worse. It has become bloated, slow to start up, and the longer I work with it, the laggier it gets. There’s also that annoying screen-freeze bug on first launch when the ClaudeCode panel tab is open - it’s been there for months and still hasn’t been fixed.
I kept putting up with it only because I liked Cursor’s autocomplete feature, but at this point I just can’t tolerate it anymore. Going back to VS Code feels amazing - everything is clean, lightweight, and the AI still works extremely well.
