Cursor is getting worse, I moved back to VSCode

… I am happy with this decision.

Cursor used to be great, but lately it’s been getting worse and worse. It has become bloated, slow to start up, and the longer I work with it, the laggier it gets. There’s also that annoying screen-freeze bug on first launch when the ClaudeCode panel tab is open - it’s been there for months and still hasn’t been fixed.

I kept putting up with it only because I liked Cursor’s autocomplete feature, but at this point I just can’t tolerate it anymore. Going back to VS Code feels amazing - everything is clean, lightweight, and the AI still works extremely well.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re always looking to balance speed, performance, and efficiency with the variety of features that users want and we believe will deliver the best experience for most users.

If you have a particular incident that you observed that is repeatable, e.g. when I open 6 agent tabs at once quickly, the app crashes, that would be helpful to know and we encourage you to report the bug with your system information and steps for how we can replicate this!

Thank you!
