I wanted to contact support but only found a bug report option within the app where I sent my issues, but honestly, I don’t expect a response, so I searched for more support resources and discovered that I have to register for this forum – despite already having a paid Cursor account and being logged in to cursor.com.
But hey, seeing the [Contact Support] button on this very page was a nice surprise… until I clicked it, and it opened an empty page.
So, I started searching for posts about support, and yeah, I got the picture. But since I’m already here:
Cursor keeps crashing with code 536870904.
Every now and then, the text box in the right pane does not accept keystrokes.
The first method I described is simply renaming the project. The second is that you can purge it at this path: \AppData\Roaming\Cursor\User\workspaceStorage.
This happened to me alot, that’s because of the chat history and the amount of data in the chats, just keep creating md files and documents for your project for each step, feature and whatever you’re trying to execute, then all those details including:
->how it should look
->the technical implementation
->the user flow
->the visualization
->the ux
keep all of these md files saved for each project saved somewhere, even google doc is okay, then add them in your project as md files and whenever you have to start a “new chat” because of this out of memory error just @ your md files in the chat and ask the agent to read them carefully and understand
what is going on
what is expected of them
the current objective and what they need to do now
or
just ask the agent to document everything along the way by either asking for it in the chat or mentioning in the cursor rules, this should solve your issue.
