This issue has become really frustrating. The only workaround I’ve found so far is to go to a previous conversation checkpoint after the crash and restart from there. But now it’s happening way too often. In 2 out of every 5 interactions, it freezes and crashes, and I have to restore from the previous chat. If I insist on continuing in the conversation where the error occurred, it never recovers and keeps crashing.
This has been happening since yesterday, and it feels like we’re being ignored. There was already a post about this issue, but I’m creating another one to draw more attention to it.

Download an older version, these past new version seemed to have made Cursor unusable to most including myself where at times it will run dead slow or freeze then crash showing an End Process.
I wish the Cursor team would stop giving inconsistent suggestions like ‘it might be a connection issue, turn off your VPN, or start a new conversation’ and instead acknowledge that there have been a lot more bugs and issues since the last 3–4 updates—and actually work on fixing them. A lot of people are experiencing the same problems. What version are you on, and how is it working for you? If it’s stable, I might switch to that version too.**
