Cursor please turn off your money grab mode

I have used Cursor since 2024 but the last months feels like it’s configured only to grab all your money you have. After every update it just feels like it’s able to ■■■■ more and more money from you, and less is done than even, even 6 months ago! Come on, give us some mercy! :weary_face:

so, here is the catch: Cursor team already realizes they are gonna disappear, too many tools are being released to do the same, better and cheaper, now it is time to grab all the money you can;
Revised versions with improved objectivity and clarity:

  • Option 1 (More Neutral): “The Cursor team appears to be accelerating its monetization strategy, possibly in response to increasing competition from similar, potentially more cost-effective tools.”
  • Option 2 (Acknowledging Speculation): “There’s speculation that the Cursor team is prioritizing revenue generation due to the emergence of numerous competing tools that offer similar functionalities at potentially lower prices.”
  • Option 3 (More Critical, but still less accusatory): “The Cursor team’s current strategy seems focused on rapid monetization, which some observers attribute to concerns about the increasing availability of competing, and often cheaper, tools.”

Learn or slowly die. You just have to set your Cursor for your needs and configure all the stuff to make it work good.
