Cursor rebase to VS Code v1.94

Hi, VS Code v1.91 (what Cursor currently uses) was released June 2024. It’s now October 2024 and VS Code v1.94 was released in September. I note in the Cursor docs the following line:

“…Staying Up to Date: We periodically rebase Cursor onto the latest version of VS Code…”

Could this be more formal and also just more regular rebasing? I’m using DevContainers and 20+ extensions and need them all to be running newer versions to remain in lock-step with other technology stacks.

Unfortunately the lack of timely Cursor VS Code rebasing is making me rethink its use as my full-time IDE.

I also see this question has been asked before and unanswered: How often does cursor rebase VS code

Hi @mjnowen

I think it will happen really soon.

FYI @mjnowen , Cursor is based on VS Code 1.93.1 in 0.42:

(its a rolling deployment so it may take a little to get it, I don’t have it yet :smiling_face_with_tear:)
