Hello everyone, is there a referral program on Cursor today? I’m interested in promoting the tool to my audience through a referral link.
Unfortunately, we don’t currently have a referral program for Cursor, but we appreciate your desire to share it with your audience!
then why someone has referral link? I want to join referral program as well!
Hey, we do not have a referral link program in beta, but it is only rolled out to a certain number of users right now. We may roll this out further in the future, but I appreciate your interest for now!
Helo, any update on the referral program ?
Hello Dan,
Can I get access to the referral program? I have an audience looking for it and can bring you hundreds of users like I did with Windsurf.
I’m building a website about AI builders and want to have a referral link, otherwise I can not add your product. Please get in touch with me.
Hey, please send an email to [email protected].
I’m interested in this too! Just sent an email.
Interested as well any updates?
Any updates on this? I would love to refer my workshop students to Cursor…
Hi @ninakolari at the moment there is no referral program
Anyway we can upvote this or vote on it somewhere to help bump it into a pipeline or something?

While it does not guarantee that it will be implemented, It would help us understand interest in referrals.
At the moment we expand the community with Ambassadors and Campus Leads who host events, workshops, help on Forum, Reddit and other socials.

Title: Referral Program Access for Pro Users
Hi Cursor team and community,
I recently reached out on Discord asking about the referral program, and I was told it doesn’t currently exist. However, I’ve seen multiple users actively sharing referral links in the format Cursor - The best way to code with AI, with new users receiving 50% off their first month through those links.
This tells me the referral program does exist, but access seems to be limited to certain accounts only.
My feature request is simple: make the referral program accessible to all Pro users, or at least clarify what the criteria are to get access.
I’ve been a Cursor Pro subscriber for almost a year. I actively recommend Cursor to developers in my community, but without a referral link, I have no way to track or formalize those recommendations.
A referral program that is open to loyal Pro users would:
- Reward long-term subscribers who already advocate for the product
- Drive more organic growth through trusted peer recommendations
- Give users a reason to stay subscribed and stay engaged
Would love to know if there are plans to expand access to this. Happy to provide any additional context if needed.
Thanks!
I got a referral link. Is it usable for month-to-month subscriptions? People are asking me about that. Thanks
The credits from my referrals seem to be used up when I am using Composer 2.5. I have available auto pool. The type free associated with this usage is highly misleading. Free usage has the tooltip:
Usage provided by Cursor that does not count against your usage limits. This includes promotions or other credits granted to your account.
Hi all! I can confirm that the Cursor Referral program is live in a limited release rollout. If you’re eligible to refer users to Cursor, you’ll see a dashboard here: https://cursor.com/dashboard/referrals
If that link redirects to your regular Cursor Dashboard, you’re not yet eligible to participate in the referral program.
The way that it works is as follows:
- New users with your link get 50% off their first month of Pro, Pro+, or Ultra.
- Get $25 in usage credit for each referred customer that buys a plan (up to 10 rewards each cycle).
The credits you receive are usage credits for additional API usage, rather than discounts off your regular plan. So let’s say you have an Ultra plan, and you refer 2 users that month - the cost of your Ultra plan will remain the same, but you’ll have an additional $50 in API usage credits that will be applied before you consume your included or on-demand usage.
Yes, it is usable for month to month subscriptions, it does not have to be a yearly subscription.
Thank you, Kevin.
