Hey, thanks to the Cursor community for introducing the Cursor Start plan with UPI payments Specially For India !
I have a few questions:
Will the regular Cursor plan also support UPI payments? That would be really helpful because, with credit cards, we have to pay additional international transaction/forex charges, which increases the overall cost.
On my older account, I still can’t see the Cursor Start plan. Is it only available for new accounts, or is it being rolled out gradually?
What are the usage limits of the Cursor Start plan?
Can you share more details about the plan and its availability?
UPI on Pro, Pro+, Ultra.
Right now, UPI payments are tied specifically to the Start plan. For Pro and above, this hasn’t been announced yet. A request for native INR pricing across all plans is already in a separate thread, you can add your vote here: Please Bring Native INR Pricing to All Premium Plans (almost Save 30% Markup). I’ll pass the feedback to the team.
Why an older account can’t see Start.
Per the changelog, existing Free users in India can upgrade to Start from https://cursor.com/dashboard. The plan card is limited to India and there are active anti-VPN checks, so if you’re using a VPN or proxy, Start won’t show up, try without it. If your region is India, your account is Free, and it still doesn’t appear, or if you’re already on a paid plan and the path is different, it depends on your specific account state. Email [email protected] and they can check your case.
Usage limits.

Availability and details.
It’s ₹649 per month, tax-inclusive, paid via UPI, and currently only for India. Pro is still for users who need access to all top models from other labs, Bugbot, Auto mode, Automations, Cursor SDK, and on-demand usage beyond limits. You can upgrade Start to Pro in one click.
