Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

I have the same problem, on Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS as well.
Additionally I am experiencing the following problems:

  1. ctrl+click functionality on any function/component does not work at all.
  2. searching for strings/function names in my repo does not work well - it only returns results from files I have currently open.
  3. Saving a file takes a good 2-3 seconds as well.
  4. no suggestions/autocomplete pop up anymore

All of these happened after latest update.

I did:

sudo apt-add-repository "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-toolchain-r/test/ubuntu xenial main"

 sudo apt update
sudo apt dist-upgrade

and now I am not getting the error previously described (Error: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.30' not found (required by /tmp/.mount_cursornWN0yG/resources/app/node_modules.asar.unpacked/@vscode/spdlog/build/Release/spdlog.node), but chat is stil not working

is indexing working for you?

It is also my case that I get the error below on ubuntu 20.04

Error: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.30' not found (required by /tmp/.mount_cursorpKGMRJ/resources/app/node_modules.asar.unpacked/@vscode/spdlog/build/Release/spdlog.node)
.
.
.

what do you mean by indexing ??

The error above does not appear to me anymore, but it’s still not working

basically what I descibe in (1), (2) & (4) on my first reply in this thread:

It’s as if Cursor can’t read any of my repo files

same thing - ‘Error: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.30’ not found’

ubuntu 20.04.6

apt upgrade does not effects.

last vertion of this lib in the system for now is GLIBCXX_3.4.28

UPD:

fixed only with all these commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-toolchain-r/test
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

dist-upgrate install GLIBCXX_3.4.30 up to GLIBCXX_3.4.32 for me on ubuntu 20.04
