Cursor stops editing file often since yesterday

Since yesterday cursor (using claude 3.7 sonnet with usage-based pricing since it’s always on high load) it has trouble editing files. It’s starts generating for a minute or so and then stops.

I have to tell it to edit the file(s) in chunks for it to work.

Also, i’ve noticed that claude 3.7 sonnet is super cheap, something feels off and i sometimes have the feeling it’s not actually claude 3.7, because in one moment it explains things very well, properly formatted, and then it barely explains anything, not formatting whatsoever.

Also noticed that sometimes it prompts me to create a folder instead of doing it itself.

What’s going on?

Experiencing same issue here!

I’m experiencing the same issue. It’s not just the Claude 3.7 Sonnet that hangs.
I’m on version 46.7 and only the cursor-small version functions properly.
I suspect the problem is with the tooling, as Claude seems to break after a tooling call.

i can’t install v46. I even need to reinstall cursor every time i close it…

If you getting faulty update and you cant update. Go to user/AppData/Local/Temp and look for vscode-stable-user-x64-randomhash there will be installer.

I can’t update cursor with normal updates that they send out. Every time i’m getting tools error on update, and i have to reinstall from temp folder.
