- Would be nice if there was documentation about the new subagents that you can create (at the very bottom) of the rules in settings
- A feature like in Claude Code where you can prompt the Agent to create a subagent based on prompt or context and that it formats that .md file properly
- Having USer wide subagents not project subagents only in the workspace .cursor/agents/[Name].md
- also its odd that it most often just reads the .md file and then tries in the same chat to do something and a few times it tried starting the CLI (without actually starting it) and saying cant access cursor.exe
Some feedback from cursor team would be nice but in my experience this looks like is not wired up yet.
The subagents md files appears in the settings but there’s no built-in way for the main agent to invoke any subagent.
The subagents are not even injected in the system prompt so for now all we got is a UI component in the settings page that is not wired up to anything.
Hey, thanks for the detailed feedback on sub-agents.
This feature is still in early development. The team is working on full integration and docs: SUB-AGENTS!? - New Cursor Update
Keep an eye out for updates - docs will be available soon.
as of the 2.2.8 update you guys removed it huh? ^^
but it still says “Rules, Subagents, Commands”
by the way the Commands section doesnt display all commands in the settings.
additionally would be nice to have a “search” field in there
Thanks for the flag, we will remove that until they are ready.
