Hi guys, i think this is a great update from Cursor team.
can you all share your subagent names and their prompts that is actually useful and we can reuse?
Is this feature documented anywhere?
… over last weeks I got Claude Code mostly to set up subagents which Cursor lacked. I made it so Cursor can dispatch them via CLI aliases. Now with seemingly “native” agent support this is getting very interesting ![]()
not yet, i got an 2.2.0 update today and still no documentations anywhere about subagents in Cursor, i think they are working on it still
It seems currently there’s no way to use it, the description of the subagent file refer to a “Task tool” but the agent has not access to it making the subagents unaccessible
if you write some reference to the name of your subagents, they work (you can see text saying switching to this subagent) but it is now what i waited, maybe in the coming versions, they integrate parallel agents different subagents working together but for now, it is just still one model working, not so useful overall.
Very curious and excited about this much anticipated feature. Do wish we had some type of changelog to go with the updates. Not super sure on what the point of releasing a version that no one knows how to test is.
That’s it, now I understand why there were errors closing sessions and processing in the database.

their own chatbots dont know anything about it
sometimes it just reads the .md file you can create in .cursor/agents other times it tries to access the cursor CLI (doesnt work on window of course, due to cursor CLI needing WSL and that doesnt work in cursor properly)
Hey all - more info coming soon!
YES. we need this.
current status is they have removed it ![]()
yeah, they removed it to release when it is ready
How soon will they appear???
I had similar needs, so set this up a different way: This might help some folks with complex workflows: How to Use Cursor-Agent (and/or Claude-Code-SDK) from Inside Cursor IDE
