Cursor Team Where did the internet research go?

Hi Team @condor @danperks @Kody_Fisher and others.

I have a very genuine request for you. Stop emphasizing toooo much on the UI and please stop removing the basic and most needed features like in this case where did the web research go? with the recent update Version: 2.1.39.

How am I make the agent research the internet now? before it was simple just type @web and boom it does the job perfectly now how am I supposed it to do that???

Guys just following up if you could please help in this regard…

@condor @danperks @Kody_Fisher

HI @alirazacodes the web search is still there, It does not need @ tag.

You can also check your settings if this is still enabled:

And here is my test search result:

In case you are unable to use it please post a full separate Bug Report with more info Create Bug Report

Note that the forum does not have a tag system, it is best to use correct categories. I moved this post from How-To into discussion as you do not show others how to do something specific.

Hi @condor, I would appreciate it if you could take a deeper look at this issue with web search or escalate the issue to a member of the Cursor team who can. While technically web search is “working” in that the agent is making requests, it’s quite buggy. And for many use cases it does not accomplish what I expected it to do. See my reply in the below thread for some examples.
