Pro account here. We’ve been unable to use Cloud 4 Opus for 3 days now. “We’re experiencing high demand for Claude 4 Opus right now. Please switch to the ‘auto-select’ model, another model, or try again in a few moments.” The only way to get it back to “work” usually for just a couple of queries as then it reverts back to “high demand” issue, and “try again in a few moments” is to close Cursor and try again 1 or 2 hours later. Then, it “works” again for 2-3 queries, but it does not remember the initial discussion so a total waste of tokens, Is there a solution to this?
Same here. If they can’t keep up with demand, take my money and make it more expensive.
Yes, the issue is that deployed and do not take any responsibility. If you have no solution to this issue, the product is not fit for the purpose, stop it now and refund. The saddest part is that the admins of this forum hide posts like this…
Hi, the issue is that Claude 4 models are brand new and Anthropic has a limit of how many servers they can run for all their models, therefore they limit access or have timeouts otherwise. This isnt really new, it happened with previouse Claude launches where Antropic had more users interested in testing and using the new models than they had capacity.
Cursor team has therefore added the error or warning you see in Cursor.
They do not have much choice than to wait until Anthropic either adds more servers or less people rush to Claude 4 models.
There are several duplicate posts about this, and I as a fellow forum member have answered about 5 or more of them, Cursor team is also active and has responded.
Hope that my post provided some clarity. Feel free to ask me if this didnt answer your question.
No choices? Take it off until Anthropic fixes the bandwidth. You are draining our pockets with a faulty product that charges tokens to generate errors. Or, if you insist to keep it there, refund us. We have raised a refund case 2 weeks ago. Several email conversations, errors logged and recorded. Why don’t you answer this?
Because I am not Cursor staff , as explained I am a fellow forum member.
