Describe the Bug
Since updating to version 0.49 - 1.2.2, Cursor’s UI has become very laggy. When I switch between two Cursor windows, the one I switch to shows a light green loading bar for about a second and then freezes for 1–3 seconds before it becomes usable again. It also freezes occasionally while I’m typing a query. The UI lags very OFTEN. None of this happened in version 0.48.9.
In short, switching between two open Cursor windows causes a 1–3 second freeze, which didn’t happen in the previous version.
-
It’s not my extensions. I don’t have any custom extensions installed.
-
I opened process explorer and monitored. Nothing out of ordinary. No high CPU or RAM usage.
-
I deleted “state.vscdb” and had cursor re-create it. It was good for a little bit but after 1 - 2 days it started lagging again.
If I install 0.48.9 again, Cursor works perfect with ZERO UI lags. But I can’t stay in that version forever.
Steps to Reproduce
Open two or three cursor windows. Run some queries on each window. Switch between each cursor window. Notice UI lag.
