The cursor is very laggy and frequently shows the error message “The window is not responding.” I experienced this issue in the previous version as well, but it has worsened after upgrading to the new version, 1.4.2.
Is there a solution for this? Should I disable any extensions to resolve the issue?
i’ve replied about this before, you have to delete all chats, or delete the whole cursor install and reinstall which deletes all the chats.. when the chats get large the whole thing lags out and crashes, it’s a horrible design and has done this since the beginning.. but nothing we can do but wait for them to fix it.
The workaround is to delete all previous chats for all workspaces/profiles , and every time you get done with a chat, export it somewhere so you have it, make sure you commit everything and then start a new chat and delete the old one and it’ll be fast for a while but eventually come back and then repeat the process
I think it’s worse with 1.3 1.4 because the chat session log include ALL the code generated where before it didn’t.. would be nice if they had an option to turn that off to avoid some lag until they can fix the root of the problem itself.. it crashes a lot on me when it starts lagging and i’m in the middle of typing something and ■■■■ window disappears grr
Start a new chat first before deleting anything. I’ve been using this since the beginning and I’ve never had to delete the chats, but everytime that popped up you had to start a new chat.
same issue here, literally every time after agent is done it will freeze for 10 seconds + random freezes, did reinstall, manually deleted whole cursor directory also, disabled extensions, constantly deleting old chats. nothing really helps and same it gets worse with every new version
i do have this window is not responding, keep waiting like 50 times per day with cursor, so annoying
i have latest i7 CPU with 32GB ram, SSD so i doubt its hardware issue on my end, also clean install of windows, my PC couldnt be in better shape
not sure with which version it started exactly, never had issues like this before with cursor, but it started couple versions ago, thought, ok maybe this version isnt their best work, ill just suffer through it and next version it will be resolved, but still nothing
Yes, sorry I should have updated my post. I actually managed to grab the early access version from the logs, seems that my issues are resolved using 1.4.5.
