Why does cursor termial not seem to load successfully after I upgraded to 1.5.3?

I had some really strange behaviour when after 1st request I didn’t have Keep All button, after 2nd request the button appeared, I clicked on it, it accepted all changes for all files but the button itself didn’t dissapear.

Chromium: 132.0.6834.210
Node.js: 20.19.1
V8: 13.2.152.41-electron.0
OS: Darwin arm64 24.6.0

Request Id: 079759c8-ff4c-4ee7-ba08-04f66b62e935

after 3rd request it dissapeared again. Looks like the button have non-determenistic behaviour

Still not able to drag and drop files from windows explorer to chat window

It’s nice to change, but how is your team even able to improve your product throwing changes like this without a “feedback” cycle ?

It induces you don’t need it because your telemetry which is massive for all users except teams/enterprise give you metrics to advance, but metrics without verbatim won’t bring you far.

Welcome to the club look up and you’ll see how much I’ve written about it.

That’s presumably expected as the files might not be part of the codebase - especially if you’re using WSL.

Does the Mac version allow this?

There is a very annoying bug in 1.5.3, when Cursor asks for confirmation for a long one line command, but shows only its begining with no way to scroll or show the full line. In previous versions there was no problems with this.

Same here, I’ve been in the default setting and this isn’t the first time getting pre-release update pushed on me.

@yakovw yes we adjusted on our side.

@alindsay55661 it works the same way. You can review changes and undo any you do not wish to keep, the rest will be accepted.

I was working with 1.5.3 just now and had 4 agents working across the codebase simultaneously. Very fun  In 1 hour I was able to do a huge amount of work. No problem at all.

@condor I think you misunderstand. The bug is that there is no “Keep All” button. When 20 files are modified, I have to accept them one at a time. Previously I could review them and hit “Keep All” to persist the changeset. I can no longer do that as the button itself is gone. If I want to “Keep All” I have to switch to each file and press the “Keep All” button for that file only or try to press the very very very very tiny checkmark next to the filenames in the list of 20… one. at. a. time.

Looking into this one. Sorry about it. We see it mostly appear but not in some rare cases.

Mac supports it. I usually do it by copying a file (from outside the codebase) and pasting it into the chat, but I just tried and drag+drop works.

I agree if they are using WSL that is probably the issue.

Please try to put the chat to try again when the server fails, I can’t stand clicking try again anymore.

I’m not using WSL, just Windows. @mwjt42

On VSCode, I don’t have this problem at all. I can drag files from Windows Explorer to Cursor, in both cases if they’re part of my codebase or random files on desktop. In cursor, I can’t do either.

I can show a video if needed but dragging from Windows Explorer is def not working for Cursor, but it does work for VSCode

Hey - we just shipped a patch to 1.5.4. Could you update whenever you have a moment and let me know if “keep all” behaves as expected? Sorry about this.

Still seeing the “endless summarization” issue described here in 1.5.4:

I received the 1.5.4 update with the rollback of the terminal to version before 1.5.x.
Terminal 1.5.x was visually and functionally better than the previous one.
