As I can see most of the people use Cursor exclusively with Claude. The recent events pushed me to try the alternatives and I’ve started using Claude Code (subscription) with VSCode. I quite like the UX of both tools and trying to decide what I prefer more - is there’s something that is rather only possible in one or another? E.g. autocomplete in Cursor. Anything else?
i find claude code being much much more reliable but also more expensive, however i think when you spend money on the 200usd sub, you get much more requests in claude code rather than cursor. however having models directly in the editor is why i stay with cursor, for now anyway. the diff and changes review is better integrated in cursor i think, seems easier, probably depends if you use bug bot, background agents, basically if you dont connect github in curosr, like me, you lose A LOT of cursor’s functionality
I use a regular VSCode’s source control view to review. I just stash approved changes and then commit. Cursor changes review is getting reset when you switch to a new agent window for example, so it isn’t perfect either.
Cursor 100%, the whole WSL thing is a no go for me.
