I would really like to like Cursor, to recommend it to friends, but it is still so buggy that I cannot in good conscience even call it a live product. It’s good idea for a product, that should be in beta, open for feedback, but certainly not a paying product. Good Lord no.
I had over 600 million cachetokens last month, which I am told is a lot. Half of the time spent that that implies was Cursor telling me:
“sorry I destroyed all your work” or
“you’re right, maybe I should actually look at the files you’re talking about before editing them” or
“you’re right you told me only to give feedback, not to edit your files, and I didn’t listen again, for the hundredth time.”
It is absolutely mind-numbingly frustrating to work with this very expensive to use work in progress.
