CursorRules not being followed or applied

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

The AI agents don’t pay attention to or follow the cursor rules. Supposedly they get them in every message but they clearly aren’t following them. Make it so that they actually follow the rules or get rid of the rules if they are just a waste of our time.

Steps to Reproduce

Make rules and start coding. They will break them, every time. I ask it to review the codebase before making changes, it doesn’t. I ask it to use a global css/styling, it writes inline styling. I tell it to re-use components, it creates new ones that are the exact same as others.

Expected Behavior

I expect that if I create rules that are straightfoward and easily followable that they should follow.
