I am using a Swedish keyboard and it is impossible to send the Ctrl+/ command to toggle model used and that is one of the most important features.
I have tried using AHK, even writing custom program to simulate it but regardless of what I do operating system won’t send that command because it doesn’t exist.
The / key on Swedish keyboard is on the 7 key, thus requiring Ctrl+Shift+7 to type / and that won’t be recognized by cursor. Any attempt to use system level API to send Ctrl+/ is translated to Ctrl+Shift+7 by Windows.
I seem to have the same kind of problem. I work with a German keyboard and the toggle command does not work. I work on Mac though…
Somewhere else in this forum, I read that adding the hotkeys mentioned in the UI (being cmd /) to aiSettings.action.toggleModel had to be done manually. If I do that (I end up with cmd 7, see victorl’s post) and get the attached error message.
Finding a solution for that that works worldwide would be awesome. I personally try to use the Mini Models whenever I can to think of the environment, I guess. And resource efficient model use made as easy as possible seems to be a win for more than that.
This is my first post and I want to thank victorl for bringing this up
and the Cursor.ai team and community over all. I am pretty new to the field of programming and software. But I love AI and spent a lot of time with it. No other working environment for all kinds of tasks (literature work as well) makes me feel like it makes use of this fascinating technology like Cursor does!
Thanks for the reports on this. For now, my guess is this is an old command that we haven’t cleaned up or resolved - I’ve thrown this to the team to see if we can either fix or remove it in a future update!
