Default Model List in Cursor

Which models in cursor are default? I disabled some models. But now I want to restore the model list. And i don’t see restore button

Hey, great request. To re-enable models you turned off, go to Cursor Settings > Models. There’s a toggle next to each model name, just turn them back on.

There isn’t a single restore all button, so you’ll need to enable them one by one.

For reference, Pro users have these models enabled by default:

  • Auto
  • Premium
  • Composer 2
  • Claude 4.6 Sonnet / Claude 4.6 Opus
  • GPT 5.3 Codex / GPT 5.4
  • Gemini 3.1 Pro
  • Grok 4

Some models like Claude 4 Sonnet, Claude 4.5 Haiku, Composer 1/1.5, and some older options are hidden by default, so you’ll need to enable them manually if you want them.

Is there living documentation somewhere for which models are enabled for Cursor to use by default for new installs / users (or perhaps a reset defaults button in the GUI - I use Cursor IDE) ?

Hey, thanks for the request. We don’t currently have a separate “live” doc that lists which models are enabled by default for new users. The up-to-date list of available models and pricing is here: Models & Pricing | Cursor Docs

There’s no reset to defaults button in the GUI yet. If you disabled some models, you’ll need to turn them back on one by one in Cursor Settings > Models using the toggle next to each model.

I’ll pass along the idea of adding a reset to defaults button as feedback. If you need anything else, just let me know.
