Did Cursor remove browser navigation functionality for models?

Hi Cursor Team,

I’ve noticed a regression in the latest version of Cursor. Previously, the AI models were able to successfully navigate the browser to perform tasks and gather context. However, in the current build, this functionality seems to be broken—the models are no longer able to navigate the browser.

Expected Behavior: The AI model should be able to navigate the browser as it did in previous versions.

Actual Behavior: The model fails to navigate the browser or interact with web pages when prompted.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open Cursor (latest version).

  2. Prompt the AI model to navigate to a specific URL or perform a web-browsing task.

  3. Observe that the model is unable to complete the browser navigation.

Does this stop you from using Cursor?

  • Yes - Cursor is unusable
  • Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor
  • No - Cursor works, but with this issue

The more details you provide, the easier it is for us to reproduce and fix the issue. Thanks!

Update: I was able to resolve this on my end!

After a bit more troubleshooting with my client project, my subagent is now successfully navigating the browser again. It appears this was an isolated issue on my side due to usage of subagent rather than a bug with the latest Cursor update.
