Summary

Add keyboard shortcuts to directly switch to specific AI models without opening the model picker.

Current Behavior

  • Only Ctrl+Alt+/ opens model picker
  • Requires multiple steps to switch between frequently used models

Requested Feature

Direct shortcuts for specific models, such as:

  • Ctrl+Alt+1 → Claude 4 Sonnet
  • Ctrl+Alt+2 → Claude 4 Thinking
  • Ctrl+Alt+3 → Gemini 2.5 Flash
  • Or allow users to customize these shortcuts in settings

Use Case

Users who frequently switch between 2-3 specific models for different tasks (e.g., quick coding vs. complex reasoning vs. fast iterations) would benefit from instant model switching without UI navigation.

Upping this. It will be very helpful. Or at least make it auto switch, as with Agent/Ask/eth modes.
