Hotkey to Switch to pre-configured models?

I try to use gpt-4o mini for small tasks and sonnet 3.5 for more complicated stuff. But anyways, I spend a lot of time cmd-/ 'ing through the different models i have active.

It would be nice to be able to have a hotkey to assign 1, 2, or 3 models to different hotkeys, so you can automatically switch to that. For example, Shift-CMD-/ would bring up a popup waiting for you to enter 1-3 to switch to that model.

I can’t think of other compatible shortcuts that would eliminate the last step i just suggested, but figured I’d share this idea.

there is cursorai.action.switchToModel.gpt4 and .gpt3 in the keyboard shortcuts but I can’t make it work for Claude:

Hey, it’s not working. To select models, you can bring up the popup using the shortcut cmd + alt + / or ctrl + alt + /.

  1. gpt3 and gpt4 switch are working for me (gpt3 is cursor small)
  2. your solution is a bit better than having to click on the popup but I’d like to be able to config a shortcut for any model I want

can’t believe they still not implemented this. spending more time changing those models than actually working
