Discrepancy in Claude Credit Usage: Billed at 0.8x Instead of Advertised 0.75x

Hello Cursor Team and community,

I’m writing to report a discrepancy I’ve noticed regarding the credit usage for the claude-4-sonnet-thinking model.

In the model selection UI, it is clearly stated that using this model consumes credits at a 0.75x rate.

However, after reviewing my “Cursor Usage” history, I’ve observed that all my requests made with the claude-4-sonnet-thinking model have been consistently billed at a 0.8x rate.

Could you please look into this? I would like to understand if the 0.75x rate displayed in the UI is outdated, or if there might be a bug in the credit calculation for this specific model.

I have attached screenshots showing both the advertised rate in the model selector and the actual billed rate from my usage panel for your reference.

Thanks for your time and for the fantastic work on Cursor.

Best regards.

Hey, just asking the team about this!

It could just be that the dashboard rounds up the nearest 0.1, hence 0.75 → 0.8, but I see why this is confusing!

It does look to be a rounding thing on the website, and the correct billing is occuring under the hood!
