I realized something a few days ago. I even wrote a similar article before (Features/Docs Indexing May Be Faulty!)
Maybe you knew this before, but I just learned it. When we add the websites we indexed in the Docs section to the chat section, artificial intelligence can provide up-to-date information. However, when I think that I have added 10 websites, it can be very laborious to add them one by one.
I think it would be better to develop a system that can do this automatically.
I’m sure most people agree with me. Then the docs section will be more useful and we will be able to feed the system with up-to-date information.
I think auto-indexing them frequently would kinda abuse the system as some people won’t ever use some of those docs
It’d be better to show a “Re-index” button for each doc or show a popup when we try to refer it and there’s some updates so we can update what’s required and what we actually will be using
Hmm, yes you are right about that. But as far as I know, the docs system works like this.
Whichever project you are developing, the docs links you add to the cursor at that moment are valid only for that project. When you open a new window and open another project, these links do not appear.
Or I think this is the case. If not, this might actually be a good idea.
hmm i dont think that happens for me. i have a few docs saved and indexed a while ago in one repo and they are re-usable in other projects too
Hey, in v0.46, the Agent now has the ability to read added docs and the web on its own, without you having to manually @ the functions!
If not yet available to you, v0.46 should be released to all users within the next day or two.
