How do I use the Doc function under the Indexing & Doc menu?

Hey, this Docs section lets you add documentation, like framework or library docs, so you can reference it later in chat as context. Here’s how to use it:
- In the Docs section, click + Add Doc and paste the URL for the docs page, usually the main docs page for the library. You can also set a name. Cursor will crawl the pages under that URL and index them.
- Or, in chat, type @Docs → Add new doc or @Add while you’re working.
- When indexing is done, type @Docs in chat, pick the doc you added, and Cursor will pull the most relevant parts of the docs into context.
One small note. Docs and @Docs only work in the Editor Window. They’re not available in the Agents Glass window.
If you only need the docs once, it’s often easier to just paste the exact text you need or a link into chat. That works too. Let me know if anything doesn’t work.
