I’ve just updated to version 3.7.21 after being in 2.6.11 for a long time, and I’m seeing that in the Settings, there isn’t the option for indexing custom docs anymore.

Where do I index my docs now?
Hey there!
While @Docs isn’t available in the Agent Window, you can still access it by switching back to the Editor Window (Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + P > Open Editor Window, one of several ways to get there). Once you’re in the Editor Window, you’ll find it again in your Cursor Settings!
What if I need to quote a particular documentation in a chat in the Agent Window?
I think you can’t anymore. Correct me if I’m wrong.
The workaround would be to open that conversation in the Editor Window, do whatever I want with the docs there (the conversation with the change will appear in the Agent Window), and then continue there if I want to.
It’s the same for forking a chat. Can’t in the Agent Window, but can in the Editor’s.
So a couple of feature requests for you guys there. That workaround is a bit annoying if the intention is to focus Agentic development in the Agent Window. I shouldn’t need to go back to the Editor Window just to enable/use a feature.
@Docs hasn’t been an area of investment for us in a while. If the Agent needs information from documentation, it’s typically best to paste the relevant section directly or add a link to it in the chat.
We have no plans to remove it from the Editor Window at this time, but we also have no plans to bring it to the Agent Window.
You can! It’s currently locked to the whole chat rather than from a specific message (and that should evolve soon).
Yep. That’s the one I was referring to, not fork the whole chat (don’t see the point of that).
The idea is forking at a specific message is that you control the context the conversation.
