Describe the Bug

Page URL: Planning | Cursor Docs

Section: Override the queue

Issue Description:

The documentation contains contradictory information about keyboard shortcuts. The current text states:

“To queue your message instead of using default messaging, use Ctrl+Enter. To send a message immediately without queuing, use Cmd+Enter.”

The Problem:

Ctrl+Enter (Windows/Linux) and Cmd+Enter (Mac) are the same key binding across different operating systems. The documentation is claiming this single key binding performs two opposite actions:

  1. Queue your message
  2. Send a message immediately without queuing
This is logically impossible and creates confusion for users.

Expected Fix:

The documentation should clarify which key binding does what, using different key combinations for these opposite actions. For example:

One action might use Ctrl+Enter / Cmd+Enter
The other action might use Enter, Shift+Enter, or another modifier combination

Impact:

Users cannot determine the correct key binding to use for queuing vs. immediate sending, making this feature difficult to use correctly.

Suggested Action:

Please verify the actual key bindings in the Cursor application and update the documentation to accurately reflect which key combination performs which action.
