Does $200 worth?

Opening a new discussion to know if the $200 plan worth.
I already have Claude Code pro max that costs $200, I’m reasonable happy with it.
But… cursor is addicting, so, does this plan worth for you guys?

No.

Use your own Anthropic API key in cursor.

Do you get the same functionality?

Be careful. Anthropic keys have token/minute limit. I made a single Cursor call with my key and it was 50,000+ tokens, and instantly I got throttled by Anthropic. Literally 1 request!

You need to have atleast $200 in Anthropic account to have a service tier 2-3 so you can actually use it for agentic coding on claude 4 sonnet.

IMHO, Not worth it. Also, you said “Cursor is addicting”. What makes it addictive?

I migrated to Claude Code and it’s pretty much the same thing as Cursor, except it runs on a CLI and its @ is superior. The only thing that keeps me paying for Cursor is its autocomplete/tab functionality. As far as I know, you won’t find that anywhere else.

Im addicted to autocomplete/tab, that’s why I still on it. And yes, so far, can’t find any other ide/tool that do the same.

Only on agentic side that is in par with agents in cursor in max mode. But, so far, I can’t get the autocomplete/tab unique features that cursor has on any other service.

I find the autocomplete to often want to generate junk. it’s good for changing some reoccurring similar variables, but for normal code, just write it yourself. It will do you good overall.
